Nice hotel with a great location by Nanjing Road and People's Square.
Lots of restaurants nearby, room service, and restaurants in the hotel.
I chose the room that I chose because of the bathtub. Do not make the same mistake I did. The bathtub is big, so that's not the problem. The bathtub is right against the sink countertop so you cannot lean your head back. Then there is the glass on one side of the tub, so you cannot stick your arm over the edge of the tub, or even relax on the side of the tub. I wanted to read, but because my arm was stuck, I couldn't do so comfortably. Also, because of the glass location, impossible to watch TV from tub. And there is no counter by tub (except the sink behind) to place goods or drinks. It would be better if the glass could move, and the hotel could realistically do that.I know it would be impossible to move the tub, and it might not be a problem for all (I am tall). So beautiful design, just not super functional. I know other rooms have other tub types... If you are big into relaxing and reading in a tub during a get-a-way, get one of the others.
Room got to 19-20° so that was nice. The windows also opened partially, so being able to get some fresh air was also nice
Room service menu is only on the TV... While I get being eco friendly... Still a copy in the room or a note saying it's on the TV would be nice.
I'd stay again, but I would choose a room with a more accommodating tub (which I know they have).

The location of Crowne Plaza is at one end of Nanjing Road Pedestrian Street, closer to People's Park and Raffles City Shanghai. It is a good location for any last minute shopping before your flight. There is M&M World, Lego and Popmart around the corner. We are able to access to the Pedestrian Street from the side or back entrance.
There is also no problem in finding food around the hotel. There are hotpots, stalls, convenience stall and a food court/place just across the hotel. It is also walking distance to popular location like Yang's Dumpling (小杨生煎).
The hotel staff we met are friendly and helpful. They helped to arrange our rooms next to each other and arranged the ride to the airport as we need a larger vehicle that our luggages can fit. The breakfast has a decent selection of Chinese food.
We stayed on a high floor with a nice unblocked view, but a pity that the window has water marks. The room is spacious and the bed was good. There is a small 24H gym (if I remember correctly). The bathtub in my room is not functioning as we cannot stop the water from draining. Other than these, we had a great and comfortable stay.

Wonderful Stay – Highly Recommended!
I recently stayed at Crowne Plaza Shanghai Nanjing Road, and I couldn't be more pleased with my experience. From the moment I arrived, the staff was warm, welcoming, and incredibly helpful. Check-in was smooth, and I was impressed by the cleanliness and comfort of the room. The room itself was spacious, well-maintained, and had all the amenities I needed. I had a special request before my arrival which was a good view from the hotel room, and they followed through on it perfectly. You can find the photos attached :)

Hotel is not clean . Only location is good. If like to go shopping location is excellent . But if need good location and clean need to arrange another hotel

Located in the center of people square, easy access to walk around and find foods.
Booking king junior suite type, the room is very spacious and come with big bath up.
