Room is definitely small in japan as usual . Have hotel open space parking with only 6 lots and cost 1100-1200 yen per day.
Not really city center and distance walk to the happening or attraction area.
Hotel staff can’t speak English well and I have no idea why only this hotel keep sending emails to me to ask for personal detail.

Location is a bit far from Kumamoto station.
Walking distance is about 35min but you can take a tram to reach.
Overall the hotel is good.
There is also a public bath with hot pool.
For those shy or feel uncomfortable to use the public bath, there is also a very private bathroom attached.

There is no toilet in the room for the economy bed! You have to go outside. The overall hygiene is OK. It is not a central air conditioner. The air from the air conditioner is a bit damp and there is dust on the air outlet.
The hotel's bathhouse is quite comfortable, and the transportation is convenient. Almost all buses from the bus terminal can arrive at one stop.
If you don't pursue comfort, the cost performance is quite high
